A chat with Mam' Zindzi Mandela

Hello!

So, if you don't know...
I host and produce content for a music talk show on SABC 1 which airs on Wednesdays at 7PM.
We've been on air for 2 months now and the journey has been incredible!

We're celebrating Mandela Day on Thursday (tomorrow) the 18th of July 2013 and as part of our Mandela Day special, we invited Mam' Zindzi Mandela for an interview.
What an honour for me to have the opportunity to sit down with her for a one-on-one chat about her entire life!
One of the questions I asked was if she ever at any point in her life hated being a Mandela and you will not believe what her response was!

Do tune in tonight for the exclusive interview!
She is such a remarkable woman who only wants the best for her family...
I was actually quite shocked at how open she was about.... EVERYTHING!
Watch tonight to witness what I'm talking about.

She also speaks very fondly of her father, former SA President and world icon Bab' Nelson Mandela.

This is by far one of my proudest moments as a television host and producer!

Follow Happiness

Good morning!!

I had the most amazing long weekend!

It's exactly what I needed after a hectic week of back to back deadlines, late nights and early mornings at the office.

I got a chance to let my hair down this weekend and spent time with a few friends I hadn't seen in a while. It becomes so difficult to connect with all of us having schedules that clash a lot of the time.

It was also Tanzy's birthday weekend so the plan was to go buck!

I came across a quote this morning and it rings so true. We're so afraid of loving because we fear getting hurt, but does this mean we will deny ourselves the pleasures of life just in case they turn out not to be so pleasurable after some time?

I have decided to follow happiness and see where it takes me.

If it takes me to a place of hurt, then so be it. I'll be happy knowing that I got a chance to thoroughly experience the joy and fulfilment that happiness brings...

Choose happiness and see what happens, you might just be pleasantly surprised! ;)
