Häagen-Dazs give-away!

Woop!!
Here's something that'll put a spring to your step!
If you're much of an ice cream lover like I am, you're going to love me for this one!

What comes to mind when you think ''Häagen-Dazs''?
Well that's what you need to tell me to win!

They have launched a new variety of ice cream called Secret Sensations.
What's so divine about this new variety?
They've gone and added hidden caramel or chocolate centres which explode at the touch of your spoon - for some extra indulgence they’ve added brownie and caramel chunks in their yummy flavours, Crème Brulee and Chocolat Fondant.

I bet you can already feel it melting in your mouth!

After a long year of being busy and trying to better yourself, surely you deserve it right?
I certainly think so!!

So leave your name below and answer the question above to win yourself a voucher for these tasty treats!
Indulgence at its best!

Good luck!

Missed me? I sure missed you!

Hey lover!!

Yes, I know.... I know...
I've been gone for way too long!
I'm actually starting to dislike myself for doing this to ya!
But aren't you happy I actually make up for it?

I will fill you in on what I've been up to very soon.
In the meantime I thought I'd post this pic of my fabulous hair by Demi Godess.
It's the lace front Mongolian light yaki in colour 4 (12'')...
Check out their website for more details, maybe I'll even have a hair give-away quite soon.

You got a sweet tooth?
Come visit again tomorrow, I've got a delicious Häagen-Dazs give-away!
I told you I'd make up for it.

Milky Foot winner!

Hello!!! :)

So I ran a Milky foot give-away competition where you could win yourself a Milky Foot intense exfoliating foot pad!

I asked that you tell me why you deserve beautiful feet to look at all winter long.
I had a few complaints from people not being able to comment on the comments section below so I had some of you commenting on my fb page instead. See below for the responses.

I also had 2 of you being able to comment on the blog and these are the responses.

It's so hard to choose and I'm very sad that I only have one exfoliating foot pad to give away, but it's a competition and someone has to walk away with the prize right?

Firstly, Asenathi (FB comment). your story is very touching and I absolutely love that you're helping your family out, but I'm finding it hard to believe that you would stand for 7 months without a break? Nah girl...A little exaggeration to win maybe? I know you probably didn't mean it literally...

Secondly, Model Citizen. Girl I completely understand how hard it must be to be a student living on a very low budget. The last thing you think about it getting a pedi. And yes I do agree, it would be nice to treat yourself to something nice.

Lastly, Thuto Gaelesiwe. I actually can't stand being in heels, but I wear them because they do look good when you're looking for that 'dressed-up' glam look, but it's always such a relief when I take them off... so I feel your pain in every way!

It was very hard to choose a winner, so I decided to put all these 3 names in a hat and asked Zola Hashatsi ( Craz-e presenter and colleague) to pull out a name and the name his hand pulled out is......

Drum roll please......................

THUTO GAELISIWE !!!

I'll have more give-aways in future so don't despair if you didn't win this time.
Let's all be happy for Thuto!!

Milky Foot Give-Away!!

So I've been gone for soooo long! I know , I know, I promised I wouldn't do it again and I did.
I come bearing gifts so you're not allowed to be mad!! Deal? Good!

Gifts in the form of an intense exfoliating foot pad!

Yes it's winter and no one really sees your feet because they're always covered in socks and boots right?
WRONG!!
YOU see your feet ALL THE TIME and you deserve beautiful feet to look at, even in winter... so I'm giving away this foot pad that promises great results!
Your feet will become as smooth and as soft as silk!;)

To win this box, you need to comment below and tell me why you deserve beautiful feet to look at all winter long.
I haven't tried this exfoliating foot pad yet because I want us to try it together (no, not together as in you do my feet and I do yours, hahah, no!). Together as in around the same time frame... and I'll have another blog post with the results.
I have no doubt it's going to be amazing!

So leave a comment below :)

You have no idea

I found this on facebook and I had to share it with you. Think before you pass any judgement. In fact, don't pass any judgement at all because sometimes you think you know, but you actually have no idea.

Quick snap and catch up

I had a photo shoot done a few weeks ago by a good guy called Tankiso Tank Khumalo. He's a young upcoming photographer who wanted to use my pics for his profile. This is one of the pics taken by him. I love it . :)
I hope you've had a great weekend! It's Monday tomorrow, back to reality! It's going to be one of those hectic ones for me. I'm working on an exciting project that has to succeed so I'm trying to juggle that and my normal work this week. Wishing you a very productive week. Zithande The Black Pearl

Glambox

Glambox is a new company that sends out awesome monthly boxes of makeup and beauty products to their subscribers. It's basically a new way for their users to sample new products, 'whilst feeling like they are receiving an early Christmas present every month'. And trust me I felt exactly like that when I received my box because I had no idea what it contained.

It's also a great way to try out new beauty products on the market and discover your faves and what works for you!

They included products that I'm excited to try out. The only one I've ever used from this batch is the Avon super extend extreme mascara. I think I may have the smallest lashes in the world, so this mascara is a necessity in my make-up bag!
Also in my box is:
1. Trind nail repair treatment
2. Gatineau moisture replenish mask
3. Nism shampoo
4. Antilope Eau de parfum
5. Fast hair conditioner/revitalisant
6. Black Opal invisible oil blocking powder.

They're all sample sizes which I think is fantastic especially if you're using a product for the first time. You don't want to buy the biggest size only to find that you don't even like it. What a costly beauty mistake!

To find out more about GlamBox , click here

I'll try out the other products and let you know what I think! :)

Lots of love

Change is good

Hey there!

Firstly, a million apologies for the silence.
I have been ridiculously busy everyday since my last post.
Ok let me not lie, I've just been experiencing a few changes in my life and trying to adjust has taken most of my time.
I've been thinking about a lot so I'm in a crazy headspace right now.

After 6 years of presenting TV, I decided it was time to move on so I resigned from my TV show. This was a hard decision for me considering the fact that TV is and always will be my first love.I'm really excited about the move as it gives me an opportunity to grow and find other TV opportunities for myself.I'll definitely be back on very soon.

Exciting news!!! After 2 and a half years of doing the graveyard slot (12-3am) on radio (YFM) , I have been moved to a new slot! Weekend breakfast baby!!!
Yep, as of this weekend I'll be holding it down between 6-9am.
This is a big deal for me and I'm very nervous about it, but I am confident that I'll kick-ass! I'll definitely let you know how it goes.

I'll also be sure to fill you in on everything else that is happening in my head and life at this moment.

Something to look forward to is a great give-away competition coming soon. It is sure to keep your feet as smooth as a baby's bum! ;) Thank me later!

Any major changes in your life?
Fill me in!

Child Trace - I Can't Be Bought fashion show

I was asked to MC the very first and official Child Trace I CAN'T BE BOUGHT fashion show that took place yesterday, an honour I could not refuse. I was so happy to take a stand against human trafficking through two of my favourite things, fashion and glamour.
We all went through the journey of a human trafficking victim using fashion as the story teller. From when someone is innocent ( we saw the innocent range here), to when they are trafficked (the trafficked range) and the finale was the end (the stop range) of human trafficking.

It is a cause that I truly support and wholeheartedly believe in. What would you do if you were bought and sold? What if the only fashion accessory you were allowed to wear was a price tag or a bar code?
I think that just by raising awareness about human trafficking, one would have already made a huge contribution to the fight against human trafficking. You too can do your bit to help. Go to the ChildTrace website and find out how.

The proceeds of the entire fashion show went towards the funding of all the Child Trace initiatives and I was more than happy to donate my services as the MC!
I'll upload the pics as soon as I have them, I didn't take any of mine, sorry.

I hope you enjoyed your Human Rights Day!

Trendy Turban

This was my first attempt at tying a turban and I think I did pretty good!
Yay? Nay? Be honest!

NeighbourGoods Market part 2

So I had a 'peroxide'moment(blonde is an understatement) on my previous post!
Instead of complaining about the 8MB that blogspot only allows, all I should have done was just decrease the size of my photos! Yes, go ahead and judge me because I'm judging myself right now!

Anyway, here are the rest of the photos!

Shout out to Zama Dube , Pearl Shongwe , Funeka Ngwevela, Natasha Luvuno and Lesego Kgosimolao

NeighbourGoods Market

Cape Town's original gourmet market is now experienced by Jo'burgers in Braamfontein! Hoo ray to that!
Friends of mine have BEEN asking me to join them and I finally decided to go 3 weeks ago.I was so mad at myself for not going earlier.
This is my bit of Cape Town in Jozi!
The food, the drinks, the people and the vibe all make you feel like you're in some place far from the city!
I had a blast of a time, here are pics below to prove it.
I couldn't load all of the pics because I'm only allowed anything that doesn't exceed 8MB... come on blogspot, seriously!!!
And I think the picture story starts from the bottom up...

I'm definitely going back soon.
In the meantime....

My New Obsession - Gotye

Gotye (pronounced Go-te-yae) , is a Beligian-Austalian multi-instrumental musician and singer-songwriter and I'm so in love with him right now. He's with Kimbra , a New Zealand singer-songwriter in this track titled Somebody That I Used To Know.

This song releases all sorts of weird emotions out of me and somehow makes me really sad, in an enjoyable kind of way. Ever enjoyed feeling sad? It makes me feel like that!
Pathetic I know, but that's what it does.

No matter what I'm doing, as soon as it comes on... everything else disappears into nothingness and it takes centre stage!
When Kimbra's verse comes on... Oh when Kimbra sings her verse! Oh! My! Freak!
I love this song and could actually listen to it all day, but I won't. You know what they say about too much of a good thing.
The video is the icing on the cake, beautifully shot and creatively executed.

Here are the lyrics below. I hope it makes you feel what I feel when I listen to it.. yes.. sad!
It's an enjoyable sadness!
Enjoy!

Somebody That I Used To Know
ft Kimbra

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad it was over

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make it like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
No you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know

Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know

[Kimbra:]
Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
But I don't wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know

[Gotye:]
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make it like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
And you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know

[x2]
Somebody
(I used to know)
Somebody
(Now you're just somebody that I used to know)

(I used to know)
(That I used to know)
(I used to know)
Somebody<

Xclusive make-up event by Nomsa Madida

Everyone who knows me well knows that I absolutely love make-up.
I don't have to wear it everyday, but I just have to have it!
I love pretty things and make-up is one of them!
Being in the TV industry has taught me a heck of a lot about make-up and I've got a few make-up tricks I'd like to share sometime soon.

This blogpost is about Nomsa Madida.
She's an amazing make-up artist who has done make-up for high profiled celebrities, for fashion shoots, magazine covers etc. She's one of the best in the industry and also happens to be one of my friends.
Last Saturday was the night of the long awaited Exclusive Make-Up Workshop by Nomsa Madida.
The turnout was fantastic and she did an awesome job sharing some of her make-up tips and teaching the ladies in attendance about make-up do's and don't s, day and night make-up,glam to plain make-up etc. There we lots of amazing give-aways on the night, which girl doesn't like an unexpected gift? Show me that girl and I will show you the door! You'd be lying!
There's also something about being in a room full of women, it doesn't happen very often so when it does... you all go into 'share' mode. You talk about everything, advise each other, laugh, talk about boys, work, style , fashion, the list goes on and on and on and on....

Here are some pics from the event.

And the lady of the night Nomsa Madida!

For more photos, go to www.divasinc.co.za

NOTE : I did not take these photos and didn't quite get the name of the photographer. Oops!
