It's June 26 2011 and I can't wait until the winter season is over!! It's flippen cold!! On my way home from work this morning, the temperature was 4 degrees!
4 degrees? That's nothing compared to the cold I felt when I was in Amsterdam last year December.
It was their winter and I think the worst that I experienced was -10degrees , snow and all.. so what's 4 degrees? Nothing!
Oh boy, why am I fooling myself? 4 degrees IS cold...
Getting up for work has become such a mission. I don't know how many times I press the snooze button...5 more minutes please!
I hate that's it's still dark when I get up for work. I hate that it's already dark when I leave work at 5pm. I hate having to wear layers and layers of clothing (Makes dressing up interesting though). I hate that my body insists that I eat more...(kinda enjoy the eating part, but the results will not be too pleasing). I hate not feeling like going out for anything, not even to buy newspapers or meet up with friends for lunch.
Ok, I've been using the word 'hate' this whole time. It's quite a strong word.Let's replace it with 'dislike'.. Much better!!
So ya, I dislike winter!!
I will never ever complain about the sun being too hot!
I will never complain about anybody's sweat smell.
I will not complain about having to have my aircon on all the time in the car.
I will not complain about getting a little darker because of the sun.
So can we please fast forward to 2 months from now?
Pweeeety please???

Feed The Fish
I'm hoping you've noticed that I have a tab just below the top of my page.
That is my fish tank with all the fish inside.
When you move your mouse in and around the tank, the fish follow the mouse pointer... try it.. they will follow.. cute hey?
They need to eat all the time, so whenever you visit, please left click as many time as you want. As soon as you do that, you will see brown substances dropping next to the fish... that is their food!
You have successfully fed my fish!!
And you can give them as much food as you want... they won't die.. promise!
Thought I'd add something fun for you!!

Hey there!
So yes, I did it again!
I really have to stop with these disappearing acts!
Truth is, I've just been really swamped with work.
I've been juggling presenting, producing, radio and whenever I get a chance all I want to do is blog, but my body won't allow it.
I've been a little tired and uninspired.
Exciting times though...
Rhythm City , (a South African soapie on e.tv) asked me to be part of one of their episodes.
If you don't know it, here's what it's about:
Rhythm City is a daily soapie that premiered on e.tv on Monday 9 July, 2007 at 18h30.
Set in the world of the South African music industry the show blends youth and contemporary adult culture and aims to give a realistic glimpse into the world of music showbiz and the lives of the people who inhabit it.
The action takes place in the city, townships and suburbs of Johannesburg and puts the spotlight on the power battles that happen in the music industry. Storylines revolve around record companies, promoters, producers, DJs and the stars as well as the wannabe stars, has-beens and everyone's families and lovers.
So....Every year, they have the MIA's (Music Industry awards) that they host within the soapie and they asked me to be the MC this year!
It was such an exciting shoot that was pretty long, but so much fun!
It was an honor for me to do it. I mean.... they could've asked somebody else, but they asked me and I can't wait for you to see it!
The nerves almost killed me though, but I hid them well during the shoot....or so I hope!
It will be aired at the end of August on e.tv and I'll be sure to remind you to watch!!
In the meantime... Be Good!!
