Sistahood Title Sequence
This is Sistahood's title sequence! I remember how much fun we were having while shooting this. The set up was at a park and all we had to do was play and have fun!! We can do that anyday! We felt like little children again! We went on the swings, blew bubbles, went on the merry go-round and how could we have not squeezed in a bit of some girly talk?? We love those!!
In the video are the Sistahood presenters, Gill Hughes, Kriya Gangiah, Babalwa Rasane and me Pearl Modiadie.

Thought - Provoking Questions
Love Should Never Hurt
We had our first argument last night and he said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me.
I know he is sorry and didn't mean the things he said because he sent me flowers today.
It wasn't our anniversary or any other special day.
Last night he threw me into the wall and started to choke me. It seemed like a nightmare, I couldn't believe it was real. I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over.
I know he must be sorry because he sent me flowers today.
I got flowers today and it wasn't Mothers Day or any other special day.
Last night he beat me up again.
It was much worse than all the other times.
If I leave him, what will I do?
How will I take care of my kids? What about money?
I'm afraid of him and scared to leave, but I know he must be sorry because he sent me flowers today.
I got flowers today.
Today was a very special day.
It was the day of my funeral.
Last night he finally killed me.
He beat me to death.
If only I had gathered enough courage to leave him, I would not have gotten flowers today...
I received this story on my BBM from a good friend of mine Refiloe Magoai and I couldn't help but get mad and wonder why!
There are so many women who live like this every single day of their lives and I am not in their situation, never have been and I pray to God I never go through it, but it really breaks my heart that they put up with it!
I am not one to judge because I have never gone through it, but I do wonder why they are sticking around!
I did a bit of research and found that people stay in abusive relationships for several reasons including :
1. They are afraid of the other person..afraid of what they will do if they leave.
2. They are afraid the "other person" will commit suicide (blaming themselves for it)
3. They are afraid of being alone, thinking they will not be able to find another person for them.
4. They are afraid of what other people will say or think.
5. They believe the 'other person' will change....this is the last time he hits me.
6. They love the person too much to leave...don't want to 'hurt' the other person
7. They are afraid of not being able to make it on their own... Financially
I pray that every woman who is in an abusive relationship gathers the strength to leave! It may not be easy, but it needs to be done!!
If it is you, talk to someone before it's too late.
POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse) helps a lot of women get through this. They offer Telephonic, Counselling and Legal support!

SUN CITY WEEKEND!!
Oh what a weekend!! Sun City - Palace Of The Lost City
But you know what they say... what happens in Sun City...STAYS in Sun City.. sooo..here are a few pics that I CAN actually post..some need to STAY in Sun City..lol...
We stayed at the main Sun City hotel and had a blast of note!
This was the view from out hotel room.. I was sharing with a good friend of mine and colleague Palesa.. she's so full of energy! I could never keep up.. ever!!
How stunning is this view though? Super!
So before we left.. Palesa and I went shopping for swimsuits. We first went to Jay Jay's and being the African girl that I am, I obviously have a smaller top and curvier bottom.. so I would obviously need a smaller bikini top and a bigger bikini bottom.. but Jay Jay's wouldn't budge! They refused to sell me different sized items.. I thought it was bizarre and so inconsiderate..? How in the world was I going to wear a bikini bottom that was 2 sizes smaller??? I was actually quite disappointed and depro about that situation because they're actually one of my favourite stores and they have such cute bikini's... So I went to Edgars and found myself this full swimsuit...I love it! this is me trying it on and I'm nto showing you the full length becuase I wasn't even brave enough to wear it on its own....yah. I'll delve into that some other time...
Here's Palesa, Lee-Roy and I hanging out at the Valley of Waves.
Well you can't really see the waves, but they were there ok!
Lee-Roy and I getting a tan... although I think he needs it more than I do, but what are friends for? I was there for moral support...
Here, he was going for the macho hairy-chested man look with my poor weave that falls out as the prop...lol..and moral support once again. I mean a macho guy has gotta have a hot babe around him right? He's such a great friend.
It was a great weekend filled with clean fun... and a bit of 'work'... It's great having friends to have fun with and who are also there in times of need.I have no doubt that these two have my back...always... Love you guys!
Caviar? Cocktail Sushi? Celeb Sundowners at LiquidChefs
So we were all asked to be there at 18h30 to meet the lucky winner who got the opportunity to spend the night with her favourite celebs and I was honoured to be one of them...
I was one of the first people to arrive and I guess Refilwe (the winner) wanted to make a grand entrance...and she did...45 minutes later! I forgave her though because ey,...it was her night after all...

Oh what an awesome evening it was!! We were treated to caviar and champagne...It was my first caviar experience and uhmm... I didn't quite like it,it just felt really funny in my mouth ( I don't mean to be so graphic, but it tasted like boogers..lol.. Don't ask me how I know what they taste like.. hey, you were once young too!)...and I guess it's so expensive because people like exotic and weird things..it felt slimy in my mouth. I'm open to trying new things especially food, but I wouldn't try it again..no..and the other guests share the same sentiments believe it or not...I guess it's a taste that none of us have acquired.
Look, it even looks like boogers!! lol....
We also tried cocktail sushi...LiquidChefs is introducing this to South African food lovers...and I enjoyed it. I think food tasting could be a great first date experience, just to get to know the other person better.. what they like, what they don't, how they react to new experiences etc...
Here we are trying Cocktail Sushi.. it really wasn't bad.. I would try it again! Warning: It doesn't taste anything like sushi...

It was a pleasant evening and I got a chance to bond with the fabulous blogger Mika Stefano, bubbly TV and radio personality Claire Mawisa, my colleague at YFM DJ Warras, the winner Refilwe, Tibz (he does a lot of things so I won't even start with the list.. awesome guy though) and Tshiamo from WONTED.
Thanks guys!
